The Difference

On Transparency

At World’s Fascinating Miss, transparency and honesty are two qualities that are the underpinning of everything we do. We believe that being open and honest about what we do and why we do it is the cornerstone of building trust with our delegates, their chaperones, our sponsors and our community. Because of this ethos, we’re going to take a moment to explain a few things so that you, the delegate, the chaperone, the vendor, the sponsor and community, are kept in the loop.

We have chosen our staff, vendors and sponsors very carefully and with an eye to avoid even the appearance of favoritism. If your favorite vendor or sponsor isn’t listed, it isn’t that we didn’t approach them or that we don’t like them or didn’t want to utilize their services, it’s that we are a new system and our goal is to start with a fresh approach. We have turned down sponsors, as grateful as we are for their offer of sponsorship, because there would be a potential appearance of favoritism.

How many times have you gone to a pageant and said or heard “That girl only won because of her relationship to [vendor/sponsor]”? That is not what we want for World’s Fascinating Miss. Every single delegate is competing on her own merits, not because of who her gown, shoe, photographer, coach or HMUA sponsor and/or relationships are. We understand that not-winning can be disheartening. But know this: whether you win or not, it will never come down to who your support staff/sponsors are.

Eligible competitors will never be on staff or act as a judge. Nor will their parents/relatives/significant others. Our staff members and volunteers have been chosen specifically because they are ineligible to compete or have indicated that they have no desire to compete because they would rather be on staff. As much as we would love to take their money and have them compete, we appreciate their candor even more and thank them for their service in advance.

That being said, if there are any questions at all about World’s Fascinating Miss, feel free to contact us by text/phone at (407) 376-7426 or by email at worldsfascinatingmiss@gmail.com or through social media on Instagram/Facebook: @worldsfascinatingmiss.
