While most pageant interviews are held behind closed doors, at World’s Fascinating Miss interviews are held on stage. Instead of receiving questions from a panel of judges or having a round-robin style one-on-one interview, delegates will have time to chat with our emcee who will ask questions designed to let the audience and judges get to know the delegate more. Delegates in the 4-5 year and 6-8 year age divisions will answer one to three questions while delegates ages 9 and up will answer three to four questions.
The interview portion of the competition takes place Saturday directly before the Fascinating Wear portion of the competition and is worth 25% of the delegate’s total score. Delegates will wear their official pageant competition t-shirt, black bottoms of their choice and shoes of their choice. Because each delegate will be dressed similarly, the judges will not be distracted by their outfits and will better be able to focus on how the delegate communicates. World’s Fascinating Miss is looking for a poised and confident extemporaneous speaker who is able to communicate effectively. Interview questions will be age-appropriate for the delegates and will not be provided in advance so that the judges see how natural the delegates’ answers are.
