Optional Events

World’s Fascinating Miss is offering four optional events for delegates to choose from: two off-stage and two on-stage. Off-stage events are Photogenic & Portfolio and on-stage events are Talent & Sportswear. All of these events are completely optional and have no bearing at all on who will ultimately be chosen as World’s Fascinating Miss. On-stage optionals will be performed Saturday and results will be announced at the Welcome Dinner and Silent Auction. Details for each competition are provided below. The cost for each optional is $100 and each winner will receive a crown, sash, and $200 cash prize*.

Photogenic
Photos should be no smaller than 4×6 and no larger than 8×10. NO frames please. Delegate name MUST be on the back of the photo along with age. Photos will be returned at the end of the pageant. Part Two is the on-stage component where each competitor will be judged on their ability to show range and modeling skill. Your choice of outfit, appropriate to age.

Portfolio
A minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 varied shots may be submitted for judging and should exhibit a variety of photographs/poses/range (Full, Mid, ¾, Head) & show versatility/range on the part of the delegate. It is recommended that the photo submitted for Photogenic *not* be included in the portfolio.

Talent
Delegates will present a performance of 90 seconds in any artistic/performance style. For example: Vocal Performance, Musical Instrument, Dance, Gymnastics, Dramatic Reading/Recitation. Delegates must provide their own instruments. Dangerous or inappropriate routines will be disqualified.

Sportswear
In an homage to traditional pageantry, this category can best be described as “Dressy Casual”. Delegates will model the outfit of their choice that could be worn to brunch or other daytime event where upscale attire is required. This event is not intended to be a “pageant costume” event, but rather an opportunity for delegates to showcase their style in clothes that could come from boutiques or brands like Lilly Pulitzer, Tommy Hilfiger, etc.

These events do NOT require a ticket.

*Cash prize will be awarded with 5 or more participants per age group for each Optional.
